What To Do?
In general, most nuisance wild animal problems can be easily avoided by following three simple rules.
1. Do not leave any pet food out at night.
2. Keep garbage cans tightly covered.
3. Keep the crawl spaces under buildings and in attics secure to prevent animals from entering.

What Not To Do?
Do not attempt to trap, shoot, or capture the animal.
Trapping and killing wildlife is almost always illegal. Also, removing one individual just opens up territory for another individual to set up housekeeping.
The SWCC is required to release wild animals, including nuisance animals, where they came from.
