TAKE A TOUR
Treatment Room

This is where animals are examined and treated for injuries. Animals are weighed, checked for injuries, diseases, parasites and general condition. Volunteers go through extensive training in dealing with the various animals we receive. We are fortunate to have a donated incubator for very sick animals.
Intensive Care Room

This is where we care for animals with illnesses, injuries, or special needs. Towels over the doors keep animals calm.
Large Recovery Cages

Here are animals have space and time to strengthen their wings or legs, grow flight feathers and gain strength before release. Birds of prey also practice catching live prey.
New Construction

Volunteers help us build many of our cages, but we can use many more helping hands to maintain and repair existing cages and build more new cages. We are planning a lot of new construction and are especially in need of volunteers with construction skills.
Aquatic Pond

For many years the SWCC has had a great need for a pond. We get many animals that require water for recuperation, such as ducks, herons and even turtles. It took many helping hands and lots of donations, but our dream finally came true. The animals love it! And so do we.
Baby Bird Room

This is the buisiest room in the Center. All spring and summer it is filled with cages full of baby birds. We always need baby brid feeders. These little guys eat every 30 minutes all day every day.
